Five Colorado Hospitals were ranked among the best in a national survey that reviewed communication evaluations from patients on their hospital nurses. The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey reviewed CMS Hospital Compare data for a one year period ending in March 2016, the most recent data available.
The five top communicators were: 1. Pikes Peak Regional Hospital in Woodland Park – 87 percent. 2. Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs – 85 percent. 3. Animas Surgical Hospital in Durango – 85 percent. 4. East Morgan County Hospital in Brush – 85 percent. and 5. Aspen Valley Hospital in Aspen – 85 percent.
