The three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury will host IASIS Healthcare Rock the Pink Night, the team’s annual initiative to awareness and funds for breast health, on Saturday, August 12, during their matchup with the Seattle Storm at Talking Stick Resort Arena.

PINK OUT! While the Mercury wear their pink jerseys on the floor, the lower-level seating bowl will be draped with 9,500 exclusive “Rock the Pink” shirts for a second-straight year thanks to IASIS Healthcare, creating the WNBA’s most striking visual for one of its signature platforms. Mercury mascot Scorch, the Mercury Hip Hop Squad, and in-arena DJ Dean will also rock the pink, and the concessions will feature a one-night-only pink drink—a strawberry lemonade margarita called “The Mercurita.”

UNIQUE FUNDRAISING

After the game, the Mercury will host a live auction of game-worn pink uniforms and one-of-a-kind memorabilia from players and coaches in attendance, including Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner. During the game, fans can bid on pink shoes, basketballs and photos in a silent auction in the COURTyard brought to you by Verizon. Before the game, the Mercury will sell $2 pink luminaria bags in the Pavilion before the game where fans will have the opportunity to write special messages in honor of loved ones impacted by breast cancer. The luminarias will then be placed on the Fry’s Plaza in the shape of a large breast cancer ribbon that will be lit during halftime.

The Mercury will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the postgame jersey auction, silent auction and luminaria drive to the American Cancer Society as part of IASIS Healthcare Rock the Pink Night.

REHMEE AND COCO

Mercury forward Cayla George, who owns and operates a candle and apparel company in her native Australia called Rehmee and Coco (https://www.rehmeeandcoco.com.au/), has created an exclusive pink Mercury-themed candle available only online and for each candle sold she will contribute $2 to the Mercury’s American Cancer Society donation. George also provided the small candles that will be used in the luminarias.

SURVIVORS

The Mercury will honor cancer survivors, battlers and medical professionals in attendance throughout the game, and will include survivors in pregame player introductions, the presentation of the court-sized American flag for the national anthem, and several other in-game contests.

Tickets to the Saturday, August 12, 2017 game available online.
