In June 1979, four physicians who had purchased 45 acres of land in the Town and Country area of northwest Hillsborough County, Florida began construction on Town and Country Hospital. The hospital opened its doors in December 1980.

Today, Town & Country Hospital is a general, acute-care, medical/surgical facility with 201 licensed beds. The hospital features all private rooms and offers an array of services designed to meet the medical needs of the community. Specialized services available at Town and Country include an Ortho/Spine Center, a 15-bed skilled nursing facility, a 20-bed alcohol and drug recovery unit, and a pain management unit.

Town and Country Hospital also offers a broad range of medical and surgical care, including outpatient surgery, comprehensive outpatient services, diagnostic imaging, 24-hour emergency care, and home health services.
